Default Sony Viao or Any other

Hi, I'm intending to buy a laptop soon. I am looking forward to have a laptop where I can do my office work, play games, watch movies, skype, youtube, etc. My budget is Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 27,000. I am quite keen on Sony Viao. Would any one recommend me something

A few years ago, I would have definitely recommended the Sony Vaio. But considering the changes that Sony as a company has undergone over the last 2-3 years, I can no longer recommend it. They've cut back on their television and laptop range as these were some of the least profitable products for the company. Their main focus is on the PS4 nowadays. There are many other good laptops from Apple, Asus, Acer, Dell, Lenovo, Microsoft and Toshiba. Companies that have been in the game for a long time and are profitable.

Sony products are reliable but they're also selling at a high price as well, and I also think there's a number of alternative devices on the market now from brands that aren't as expensive that can do the same job as the Sony range.

While I'm not saying they aren't worth purchasing, I am saying I'd be tempted to make sure I shopped around before deciding to purchase a Sony, as I do think there are other, cheaper options available.

You can always rely on a Sony laptop but its costly as compared to other brands. Even there are brands that are better than Sony Laptops and even cheaper than it. If you have enough money and willing to buy a Sony laptop go for it. But if your budget is low and you want to save money for further accessories. Then go with other Brands Like Dell, HP, etc. Not only they will be cheap but will be reliable too

I am using a Dell Laptop whose specifications are Core2Duo with Good Frequency, 1 GB of RAM and 160 GB Hard Drive. It works great for me. I am using it for office work, downloading, internet surfing, skype, and almost everything.

Yes, Dell is a good brand and particularly famous for their crystal clear display. Dell is definitely an overall performer in laptop segment. Sony is good but it is quite pricey as Apple in iOS market. I heard that Sony uses more silver ingredients in their circuits and hence they are more costly. I don't know about the credibility of this fact though.

I would not spend too much money on a laptop as technology is undergoing changes every day and today's laptop will be no use for tomorrow. Moreover, in laptops chances of future upgradaton are limited.
