    Angry Trouble with Chrome

I have been having trouble with my Chrome browser. It seems every website I go to I have a black box come up while page is loading when I click the "x" it opens another tab. I close that tab then I have to keep exiting out of warnings coming up. For a while it kept saying I had a virus and to call Microsoft at the number given. Now it says I have a trojan and to call Microsoft at the number provided. I keep exiting off these messages until the box comes up to check that says prevent this dialog from making additional messages. I have ran my antivirus and it comes back secure saying I have no virus, trojan, or spyware installed. Anyone have a clue about what is going on?

Open 'settings' in Chrome, go to extensions and remove all the extensions that you don't know to have installed.
In settings go to search engines and remove all expect Google.
Install Malbytes Anti-malware from https://www.malwarebytes.org/antimalware/ and run.
    Install Adblock.
    These may help.
    Regards,

I faced a similar kind of issue with Firefox once. It was fixed by Glarysoft Utilities which is an excellent all-round performer. There is no doubt that malwarebytes is a trusted and effective application too. But Glarysoft utilities has many other user friendly features too. It has really improved my system performance.

In case it is an ad related popup, an adblocker can certainly help you out. All the best. Please do share your experience once you get rid of this issue.

I have installed AdBlock Plus. I have had it enabled for about 2 or 3 days, so far no trouble. I am going to keep on using it and see what happens.

@Mihailo I will keep that in mind. I have not had any more trouble since installing AdBlock Plus. If I do I will reinstall chrome as you suggested.

There is a excellent problem for this type of situation. I reccmmend "SpyHunter". It has the ability to detect and remove rootkits, which are used to make silent installation of anti-spyware programs and other trojans. Moreover, it is able to remove threat of all browsers. Don't forget it!

    What

@Melissa Ann My advice to you is to use Malwarebytes in the future. There was probably some junk toolbar or addon installed if it kept opening stuff in every tab. Malwarebytes does a very good job getting rid of these.

Try using different anti- viruses since some viruses can't be detected easily, and don't rely on one anti-virus only. Also, as stated above, try doing a clean installation of Chrome. If the problem persists, try using another browser and see whether it's functioning properly or not.

I have had no more problems with these pop ups or trojan warnings from Microsoft since installing AdBlock Plus. If it starts up again I will remember everyone's advice and try some of the things that have been mentioned.

That is definitely a good news. That means you already got rid of the threat now.

I would still recommend Glarysoft utilities to you. It is an excellent all-in-one utility which can be used for a large number of activities from cleaning to malware detection. I helped me a lot in cleaning my laptop and fixing errors which were slowing down my PC quite a bit. The most important thing is that the application is very user friendly and you need to have only the basic computing knowledge to use this utility. It got a very good reputation on net.

The ads on Chrome are murderous, they ruin user experience. Install as many Ad blocking extensions from the chrome store, it helps a lot, but I read Google is trying to remove them.

You can try the Opera browser. It offers a nice experience. Moreover, it is consume less memory than Chrome. But if You still prefer to work with Chrome, You must use SpyHunter to solve this problem.

But some things can't be done with it, when I used it I did get this notification that my browser isn't allowed to use a site or so, it's very good but limiting.

Yes, I agree with you. Opera is a excellent alternative for basic surfing, but when we consider advanced functions it is not a good alternative.
