Default Do you think Tablets can destroy laptops?

Tablets already destroyed pocket gaming consoles into irrelevance. Now there are tablets that runs with Windows 10 and now there are laptops witch attachable keyboards. With All the innovations tablets are having, Do you think Tablets can fully replace laptops as the trusty portable computers?

I remember there are schools where notebooks and books were replaced by laptops but there are now schools where all the student brings to school is a tablet. Do you think Tablets will eventually takeover and be the portable computer people would be using?

Consider that the tablets come with their own tools and, over time, achieve evolve to conquer the market. Without that, a built in camera means to bring a handheld scanner every place you go. And if you still want to use a keyboard, you can connect one Bluetooth to your tablet. Taking all this into account, it is clear that tablets and other handheld devices have their own advantages. Advantages that allow you to challenge the authority of the most used devices, but that is not enough yet to replace them. We'll see what the future holds. I think, No, they will not replace them yet.

NO I don't think tablets can destroy a laptop, tablets don't carry as much memory as laptops do, and the screen resolution can be quite small for the kind of things, desktops are used for, and a tablet is an extension of a mobile, in which some cases there are things that are being done on a tablet and lots of people prefer using a laptop or desktop to commit the action.

I believe tablets could seriously affect the business of laptops in due course of time. If tablets could work upon storage memory and speed, they would be able to win over laptops more easily.

Now laptop manufacturing companies have already come up with another version that is 2-in-1 laptops. A laptop which could also be used as a tablet. That means you can just detach the screen from the laptop and use it as an independent tablet. It is heard that the sale of 2-in-1 laptops is growing at an abnormal pace. I am sure we can see more refined 2-in-1 laptops in future which could seriously pose a threat to tablet business.

I think the 2 in one laptops you are talking about may also destroy traditional laptops. I think traditional tablets may last longer because they will eventually become a cheaper. Those 2 in 1 laptops are very expensive.

I don't think 2-in-1 laptops are too expensive. In fact some basic models are very cheaper than laptops, but yes, storage space is a problem in 2-in-1 laptops as most of them do not use any hard drives. But I think time has changed now. I have seen an advertisement of a 2-in-1 laptop by iBall which has an option to include a hard disk. The device costs around $250 without a hard disk.

I think a 2-in-laptop with a hard disk may cost you somewhere near a mid-range laptop. Yes, I agree with your point that as 2-in-1 laptops are going through a lot of improvements it may destroy the popularity of traditional laptops in future.

In my opinion, this is virtually impossible. Despite the hardware of tablets evolve fairly recently, they never teram good management as the laptops. The system used in tablets has no compatibility with key applications such as Matlab, Adobe Photoshop and others.

I am starting to see kids who can't type with physical keyboards because they were so comfortable with touch screen. I think the next generation may not see a use for desktops and laptops.

For basic games, I agree with you. But when we consider modern games, it is complicated to abandon desktops.
