    Default Ubuntu Tips & Tricks

As you all know that we need terminal to update and to install any application but if you are not comfortable with this terminal idea and commands then there is another way to install appliactions on ubuntu and to update too...
To Update ubuntu you can go to
    System>>Administration>>Update Manager

and to install any application we have 2 ways apart from terminal
    1. Click on Main Menu and under that go to add/ remove application
    2. Click on System>>Administration>>Synaptic Package Manager

but i like Terminal only and trust me if you are using linux then try using Terminal only

    additional tip
    try these commands
    Date
    cal

You can also start that ccsm by application->systemtools->compiz
Then you get a blue box with an arrow inside on the top status bar, right click on it and select settings manager.

I installed compiz fusion following instruction given in the website. After installing my title bar vanished. I couldn't view the title bar. No close button, minimize button, maximize button. So I removed it.

edit: forgot to say I installed it on Ubuntu 7.10

Thats cuz an option of reflection must be enabled there... In my case when I enabled the "Reflection" in settings... All of them vanished... and they came back once I disabled it...
