    Default AWN Dock on ubuntu hardy

    ================================================== =

    This is for Hardy users only

    Avant Windows Navigator (AWN) depends upon compiz and please activate desktop effects before installing AWN on ubuntu.

    First you need to edit the /etc/apt/sources.list file using the following command
    sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

    add the following two lines at the end

    Save and exit the file.

    Update the source list using the following command

    sudo aptitude update
    Install Avant Window Navigator (AWN) in Ubuntu

    sudo aptitude install avant-window-navigator-bzr awn-core-applets-bzr

    This will complete the installation

    Now you can start AWN from
    Applications->Accessories->Avant Window Navigator
    Enjoy and as you know you can config/ modify it according to your chose and taste

    have you updated this in
    deb Index of /reacocard-awn/ubuntu hardy main
    deb-src Index of /reacocard-awn/ubuntu hardy main
    sources.list file or not

    if this is coming then you can simply go ahead and add these 2 sources in software sources from administration

    I am using AWN dock but my problem is whenever I restart my system i have to manually start the dock. I want it to be started automatically whenever I boot to my desktop.
    I am sure this should be possible. If someone has done this already please help me out.

    Edit:
    I found the solution here:

    you can do it this way otherwise simply go to synaptic package manager and search for awn manager
