    2. Ubuntu 5.04 (Hoary Hedgehog)
    3. Ubuntu 5.10 (Breezy Badger)
    4. Ubuntu 6.06 (Dapper Drake)
    5. Ubuntu 6.10 (Edgy Eft)

You can install ubuntu using Wubi. Even if some problem happened, you can simply uninstall Ubuntu like a normal windows application. The working will be a little slow though. You can install Ubuntu using Wubi in two different ways.

    • Download Wubi and it will Download Ubuntu ISO file from the server and install automatically real time.

    • Download the Ubuntu ISO and download a compatible Wubi (eg: Ubutu 8.04 + Wubi 8.04) , put both in the same folder and run Wubi to install Ubuntu.

    Wubi wizard is simple.

Note: When you install Ubuntu using the ISO file. It will be deleted when you uninstall Ubuntu. So keep a backup of the ISO file in another drive/folder before installing Ubuntu. It will ask for keeping backup when you uninstall Ubuntu.

    Very nice post vishnu

You can install ubuntu using wubi but as you already use linux so my suggestion says try to install ubuntu on other partition of hard drive as you can not feel the real ubuntu in windows if you need the real feel of ubuntu then install it as independent OS

    Thanks! Vibes.

I installed Ubuntu in another partition. Clean. And if I want to remove Ubuntu all I have to do is delete the partition and fixmbr. [I know, there are other ways, but I am lazy]
