This is very, VERY wrong. On any of the linux community forums, you'd get perma-banned for this. Mods please take note of this?

i think i shud edit that post which shud have been..first UNMOUNT ur partitions and then navigate to your desktop through ur terminal and then try that command..

I had installed ubuntu 8.10 on my desktop pc (having windows) but now i cant boot into windows (there is no option in grub). I have tried to manipulate the grub menu but still cant boot . Any help ?
