    If you like luxurious houses, fast bikes, delicious food, elegant clothing, then why not a desktop which looks like a hi-tech spaceship control panel. If you have the resources why not use them to the fullest.

    If I give you a Lamborghini won’t you use it because it’s hard to drive? You know the answer.

    Actually compiz has vertual cube desktops implimented long before and even SuSE 11.0 onwards and MANDRIVA 2008 and some more LINUX flavours have them by default.

    Just took a look at the system requirements, pretty average for current PC users

    * Microsoft Windows® XP™ or Windows® Vista™
    * 1.4 Ghz processor
    * 512 MB of RAM (1 GB recommended)
    * DirectX 9.0c
    * 3D accelerated video adapter with at least 64MB of video memory

    I was customizing my Mandriva powerpack, the effects with compiz were simply, wow. The graphics driver automatically detects your graphics card and asks you during installation for extra 3d support.
    I also used SuSE 11.1 but, was not that satisfied.

    I would like to know how to install emerald on to it.Please help.
    I am using Mandriva PWP 2008.

    4. style xp
    5. aston shell
    6. alienware icons
    7. modified alienware wallpaper(used paint dot net)
    8. yahoo widgets

    When you have 2.5GB of RAM and a 7600GS 512 MB(OC MAX), they don't affect the performance, and
    btw, I have one account for net, one for games, one for general purpose(this account is customized to the max possible), and three more for family, guests.(80GB HDD dedicated for OS only, both LINUX and windows and other, no data in here)

    If my PC could talk, then it would say, please spare me.
