    Angry Notice

Previously also I have mentioned ,

Please post your images in JPEG or GIF formats , PNG and BMP picture formats are too heavy on size and take more browser time, more download.

Yes , you are right, I am not a moderator but again , what I have mentioned is not going to harm anybody in anyway, moreover it is going to help .So if you like you may abide by it or just ignore, it’s your choice .

And by "notice" I did not mean to enforce anything. I just wanted to bring this to notice of future posters.

Desktop is cool and so is your collection.

But with a MAC you can make your desktop look much better. Try once more any post something better with some more widgets and tweaks. Make me say wow.

And I don't get angry that easily now a days over these small matters.

I am using mandriva 2008 x64, can anybody help me customize it, like the side bars, floating bars, the gadgets etc ???????????????

I have used the kde4 version also but I like the older one better.

And how can I upgrade the compiz in my old linux(mandriva 2008 x64).

I'm not too good at giving instructions, but I am thinking of putting up a thread on customizing using various apps. But for now I think I'll try put it up in a pack so you can download and tweak yours too.

No need to give instructions, just explain the components you have shown on the desktop in the screen shot.

    For example:-

    1. object dock for the floating bar
    2. rainlendar for calender and clock etc
    3. and so on
    simple.

As far as i know windows can't be customised. You can't create a custom kernel or X-window out there.

I didn't realize people her are talking about GUI of OS not OS as a whole. For customizing Linux & BSD are only OS that I know that can be customized.

Well in windows you can't compile your own kernel & x-server according to your hardware..
