Windows 7 is touted to be the next major Linux killer. True indeed when scores of people installed the latest beta build of the OS, it proved to be much faster than its sibling Windows Vista. But when it comes to real world scenarios can Windows 7 match up to the latest edition of Ubuntu? In all fairness the test bed consisted of i7 920 CPU with 6 GB RAM coupled with two HDDs each of 500 GB with 16MB cache.
