Default GNOME 2.26 Beta Released
First beta of the much acclaimed desktop environment GNOME has been released. The default theme is a bit darker than the other releases. Other features include a widget theme which is smaller keeping in mind the smaller screens, a redesigned set of icons together with different panel icons. Some of the other features which will be updated are Evolution Mail, a newer GNOME Control Center.

This is a beta release only to be installed for testing purposes.

you have mentioned GENOME in two places.......is this a different thing than Gnome............???
