Question Network File sharing

Hi there

I am using Fedora 9 in my desktop and Vista Ultimate in My Laptop.... I am not able to transfer the file from one system to another as i used to do before win vista and XP.... Pls get a better solution....

I the link u mentioned above... but in my case am using a wireless router so the Ip address is assigned by the router.... where my desktop is connected by wire and laptop wirelessly.. so will i be able to configure in a more efficient way... Pls do suggest a better option....

Did u try after disabling DHCP on the router and manually entering an IP in the laptop and the PC ?

I tried that types but it failed to detect my desktop which has fedora 9 in it.... since it is a wired card interface its not able to detect....
