    Default Booting Multiple Flavors

    I have been using ubuntu along with Xp sp2. I now want to install fedora on the same hard disk and i have space to do that...Can some one lead to some good tutorial to do that..because i have found that when i install a new version of linux my previous version is not available in the boot menu..

    One more thing i want to compile some Open Gl programs..what all are the packages i need to install in Ubuntu

    This is very urgent please help fast...

    Why dont you try vmware player?
    But it requires good computer configuration.

    No need to install OS and you run multiple OS parallely

    Go thr this.

    You have to edit and change the grub's menu.lst file (found in /boot/grub) so that it will appear in the boot menu. Some distros like Mandriva 2009 will automatically add the other flavour already installed to its boot menu so need to do that manually.

    as you have Ubuntu installed,edit /boot/grub/menu.lst to add other distro you installed.choose not to install grub overwriting grub installed by ubuntu.
