Good post... Irony is that it's posted on a blogspot blog.

Do the same steps apply on Ubuntu's latest version?

Any idea how to install wordpress on Windows? Just curious.

Thanks for taking time out to have a look at it. I'm in the process of moving my blog over from blogspot to wordpress. Hence, the irony!

With regards to the installation, yes, the steps are same for Ubuntu 9.04 and for Window$ installation, you can google for "WAMP installation" for the server setup and after that, the same steps apply.
