Thread: How to configure LAN speed in Ubuntu/kubuntu

Hi guyz,
I have recently installed kubuntu in my pc (1 hour back ;D) how to configure LAN such that i can keep it 10 mbps speed and .. i want to set it's ip manually. I have tried setting manually but it doesn't connect that lan connection instead it kept connected to eth0. please help thanks in advance
And another doubt how to install BSNL broadband in KUBUNTU?? i m using latest version of kubuntu-9.04

make use of ethtool or mii-tool to get the desired result.
Try to be more specific by including the output of various commands that you tried and didn't get the result.

Another recommendation is before trying out the newly released version of ubuntu just go thru the various known issues in the release notes so that It you won't have to repent latter on or if u have other mach with u then it's heaven or u can try these out in the virtual env by keeping intact ur working paltform.
