Google have launched its beta version of chrome for linux. Open-source version called was already available for linux users. In fact I have used that much earlier also.
But now google is not far behind in implementing this revolutionary browser for Linux.
I could not find any difference between chromium and chrome browser. They run in same way. They look somewhat same.
Google have sue a person for using chrome word for his build and calling chromium as chrome.
I think google must be reminded about Shakespeare adage : What's in a name?
But I think issue was of trademark and chrome is a trademark of google. But I don't think chrome is going to be more used than chromium as major linux distro give open source software as built-in only not proprietary which have to be added separately by users. Also a person using linux generally prefer opensource solution so he will use chromium.
Anyway I think, whether its chrome or chromium , google is the victor.
