So after coming across the relationship section, i just had to post this thread...

Does love exist in real life? Or is it just pure lust and compromises? I once had some feelings for a girl and decided to tell her, but sadly i dint know by then that she was the type who was strictly not into relationships n such...

Anyways what do you think? Does love exist in real life? Are u urself in love so u can describe what the feeling is?

Love does exist in life and i think it does for everyone. It important to cherish and value the love you get in life!

And its very important to be yourself in love and you need to show what you are and how you are in real life, as you can not pretend to be a fake person for someone or for a relationship!

ok let me tell you honestly that love is something which you just need to feel thats it and as i met a girl just 2-3 days back and got smooth~vibes in body... so thats something which exists but you can not feel it all the time there are only very few moments when you really feel that

Yes, love exist in real... so does lust... Love and lust are two sides of the same coin... its very natural...

In most cases... it all starts with physical attraction/lust... only later on we start to know inside-out of the partner... by inside-out I mean his/her nature, liking, beliefs etc... I've no problem if somebody goes this way... as its again perfectly natural... opposite sex always attracts...

In some cases... its like u talk and hang-out with a person... he/she might be ur colleague/friend/classmate/acquaintance... and u start to develop feeling... cuz u like their thinking, career-orientation, character etc... Thats a smart way to choose a partner...

In few cases... we hear about a blind-date turning into a love affair... in this info-tech-age its increasing day-by-day... one example- people meet on chat forums... strike chemistry... fix a date...love at first sight... lol.. well, it sounds very exciting and can be really fruitful also... but it can be dangerous too... I won't go into explaining that here... but yes if this type of affair wudn't be happening then we cud never hear "Love at First Sight"... will we?

Yes, I'm very much in love... And my affair is a mixture of 2nd & 3rd case...

One of my friend who knew her very well gave me her chat id... & informed her about it(Friends do like to play matchmaker..lol).... so there we started to chat & email... after couple of months we were on phone... we talked for next 15 months without meeting... and that too when living in same city... feelings developed... we met for 1st time almost after 1 n half yr since we knew each other... and yes it was love at 1st sight... she was the most beautiful girl I had seen in my life... I proposed her in that 1st meeting itself... by writing those 3 words on her hand by the touch of my finger... so, there it happened...

She did admit later that she was in love when we were on phone... but was waiting for me to take initiative...

i agree with this love guru and trust me i am not against lust but love is something different know

well, i love ice-cream and chicken-pakora with real fury and enthu. Thats the kind o love i believe in. Love is either these or the ties of blood. Other than that everything is made of one proportion of sacrifice and two prop of understanding and three prop of mutual ass-kissin. If any of the above mentioned three key ingredients fail, the basic structure holding the so-called phenomenon "LOVE" fails.
"Self abandon", "endless", "eternal", these words have no relevance whatsoever with love in todays world ( maybe they spelt love in the stone age but not now).
To be successful in love, u gotta be prepared to lose everythin u call life and start anything u hated before.(of corse there r different cases, but one in a billion doesnt even sound like a fraction)
So, there is nothin called LOVE, only three things prevail --
"understanding" "SACRIFICE" "ASS-KISSIN" .

obviously love does exist, but the question should be 'does love exist in your life, or are you capable of the ultimate selfless love'

and personally i wouldnt say love and lust are two sides of the same coin, coz many people do live with one without the other, and can be pretty happy that way too. [just a hypothetical case]

love exists??..i doubt that!!...nobody is true(specially girls)...they are fakeboxes..they just pretend(yes they are great actors)...selfish, buisness minded...

chances of breakup or infidelity or atleast feeling of insecurity increases due to geographical distance... [practical case]

But why is love seen as Male - Female, Male - Male, Female - Female association ???

i personally have to agree with itsmemad here that love n lust are two side of the same coin... cause u don't fall in love as soon as u see some1, u lust after them... then whn u understand the person and get to know them, then u have ur love life startin...

but what if u have the capacity for selfless love, how do u make some1 realize that ??

@shadow hehe thats an interesting way there, but i think that wud be u imposing urself on the other person. even if she or he says yes on ur threatening, that won't b a true relationship.
i think there shud be feelings (physical attraction+general attraction for the person as a whole) on both sides if the relationship is gonna work out. our bodies n minds are wired that way, to find out the best possible mate on the whole. science does explain a lot of these things i realize.
we're all driven by instincts. our bodies know that no person is an island, to have some insurance for the future, to not live all alone... all these feelings too contribute in what we call love...

3.I think u totally are missing a point .... There are different forms of love i.e
*sisterly/brotherly
*Parents and children
*Close friends
*Love out of respect
*teacher/student [not the mischievous kind]
*And ofcourse love between spouses
etc
Lust/attraction comes into the picture only for the last option ......So our bodies dont so much come into the picture for the rest ....Thats a overall view of love
If u are talking specifically about romantic love ...u should specify so
