However unwilling u r for now, there will come a time, whn u decide to settle down and have a family of ur own... i'm afraid its the sad truth ...

so tell me will u want a girl child or a boy?

personally i wud want only a sweet lil gal....
boys r just too much trouble, espacially if u raise them like hooligans (which my friend did actually, and i can see him suffer :lol

When i get settled in life, i would like one boy and one girl!

I too love kids, i think they are very cute, which is why i love playing with my adorable nephews and nieces!

well, i m pretty young myself. but if i really must (someday), i want a son just like "Calvin" from "calvin and hobbes". I have a lot of things to discuss with that boy.And i like him too.

A girl + a boy. Being a single child is the worst thing I can think of.
A family need a yin & a yang to work.

OK realistically I want my 2nd child to be of same gender as of 1st child... So that the 1st child can have company in every game she/he plays...

I have a brother... And I had a great time with him in childhood... We played every sports together...

I've 2 cousin sis out of many who never allowed me to feel the need of 1 more sis... I played all girly games(like kit-kit) with them during my vacations... But I wudn't want to play those games throughout the year... :lol:

So, definitely a girl for a girl or a boy for a boy!

I don't think thats true, as if you do have a boy and girl it also matter on their age difference, if the age gap is big then there will bound to be differences, but if the age gap is small something like 3 years then both the kids (boy and girl) can get along fine!

I forgot to mention the age difference... I wudn't want the difference to be more than 2 yrs... So, that the skills and power of younger one in all games could match with her/his elder sibling...

Assuming that one of my child is neither a prodigy nor a dull,
I want both kids of same gender... so that they can compete with each other equally in terms of power & choice of games kids play... Like if they go cycling together... Both have equal chances of winning... If they play cricket, both have equal chances of outsmarting each other... If they play basketball, both should have equal advantage in terms of height & stamina... If they are into craftworks, both will have nifty skills to match each other...

So, a girl for a girl and a boy for a boy will have better competition and similar choice of games...

even if its a girl and boy they can still compete with each other, the reason why some of us see the boy being more intelligent or greater in strength is because the way maybe we have been brought up or seen others being brought up. But we are people of this generation so we should know better to bring our kids equally, so the matter of a boy and girl wont matter, and therefore when being siblings they can compete with each other without any problems!

lol... no family planning as of yet... I just wrote what came in my mind from my own experiences... I'm happy that I spent most of my childhood in company of my bro whoz just 1 yr younger to me... we played on field together... we went to same all boys school together... we shared all kind of boys talks... we started to smoke & booze together... those days were fun...

If we plan to go for nuclear families in future... I'll miss my brother more than anyone else... :sad:

well i ll go wid a lil princess of my own, when/if i settle down .

there is no particular reason, just i dont want my son to be anything like me, and having a daughter naturally will support me in this.

i m not saying , that gals are not okey in anyway, its just gals have real soft heart(most) that will keep her away from this hell business

@ Mads - there are a lot of things these days which both girls and boys do, such as both play football, cricket, hockey and so on! Dont worry, you seemed to be too concerned!

I'm not worrying... Just trying to put my point across...

I can't deny girls also play all the games... but normally, a boys team will have only boys and girls team will have only girls... unless its mixed doubles tennis or chess... I just want my kids to play together... lol
