well im not against kissin in public ..but i think ppl should have a 'sence of situation' before they indulge in public shows of affection...
like in it would be inappropriate to do things in front of children,even wen those kids are strangers to you...

Is kissing strange think ? i never feel so when kissing is the symbol of love any kind kissing even a parents kiss a child they feel strange ? I think this is our totally misconception about children.Normally they think it very simple way nothing strange or complexity is present in their thinking and in another aspect the entire world is the 'biggest strange' for children they always try to learn from the society they never compare the one incident with another one because thy don't have such sequential experience but normally we adults do it, always we compare one phenomena to our previous experience and if we are not habituated to see the such thing then we feel strange.That does not matter that we are liberal or not, we will feel strange if we see something new in the life or society because it's always mismatch our previous experience.
When someone sees a couple kissing, they normally tend to talk bad about the girl & not about the boy...So, if you do not want anyone to talk bad about your girlfriend... then do not kiss in the public...

Similar feelings depend upon the region. I mean it varies in between cultures. In India always the gal is blamed while the guy is let out scotfree. Similar trends can be found in Middle Eastern nations also. Gals if found to be indulging in such activities are publicly humiliated.
In some parts and among some people rules are always rules. No amount of education, technological advancement can bring forth any changes in them.

no .. .i wanted to say that there is also a completely opposite side than what you said ... their are some situations where women are respected in india more than any other place in the world ... and there are some situations where what you said is valid ... we(indians) take both sides to the extreme ...
well Women are also respected all arnd the world leaving the middle eastern countries....i wudnt comment on it as i dunno much about those countries.....
of course they are respected all around the world ... but respect for women in india is the most - in some aspects ... like mentioned above ... there are two sides of the coin .. where they are respected they are respected like nowhere in the world ... which other religion than HINDUism believes in Goddesses?
