Public display of affection is NOT a ordinary daily act in India. Despite its many advocates who may be sincere in their beliefs in IndiaIT IS NOT THE DONE THING as yet. It is done in foriegn countries -yes, but they don't do all the right thing, do they? It is not a matter of protecting Indian culture or any thing like it.

Its advocates may give several reasons in support of PDA but basically to me my affection to my partner is my special and private communication which I want share with him/her ONLY. It is a shared moment only for my partener. If done publically it becomes a shared-public act; it becomes public property and all have right to view the exibition as they deem fit. They may stare or comment on it lewdly, with indifference, approvingly, or angrily. Do I want my affection to be a public affair? If yes then why stop at that!
Remember when your mother last kissed you in public how embarrased you felt! Similarly show consideration to your partner.......please.

It was in shillong when i took my mom out for a coffee in evening, never found that embarrassing. Do we really need to feel embarrassed after getting kissed by mom, sounds bit strange :confused1:

according to me Mom is the only person who kisses their sons/daughters full heart ed.... ie no hidings that ok if some one see's what will they think, like that...! Mom's kisses are the BEST in the world you can get ...
