Recently a couple was caught by the police for kissing in the public (Delhi). They were produced in the court & the couple argued that they were married & the court gave the judgment in favor of the couple. It wasn’t mentioned whether they were kissing or smooching or what ever….

Some people may argue that it is not ok, it is not our culture. People kissing in public must be punished, etc, etc.

Some people may argue that it is an expression of love, when kissing is allowed in the movies then why not people kiss in public, India is the land of origin of Kama Sutra then why say no for kissing in public.

I myself have seen many times couple kissing in the public. I have seen in the beaches in Chennai, mall/parks in Bangalore. I feel there is a certain limit on how to behave in the public.

Certain things are acceptable in the public like: Holding hand, holding hands around the waist, kissing on the cheeks/forehead, a gently (few sec) kiss on the lips…

& certain things are not acceptable in the public like: Smooching, French kiss… Keep these things up to the room & inside the four walls.

The above things is applicable to both married & unmarried couple.

First of all, thank you for bringing up such a beautiful topic. My answer would be no. If it is allowed to be ok, then that could be a standard in a place where it is allowed. And as you know, even just a gentle kiss could go wild in an instant anytime. Point is, I wouldn't want my place, specially with my children, to have many people that are not even thinking of showing the disgusting scene with out worries at all. That could even be a gate to have people become more and more addicted doing it in public places that I think is not right.

For me kissing in public is fine as long as it is just a quick kiss. not the french kiss in public. kiss on the cheeks and a quick kis on the lips is ok.

I think it really depends of the culture and custom of the place you live in. In most western countries it is perfectly fine to do kissing in public. But in many oriental countries, well, we are not used to see such a public show.

I can understand not doing so because it would make others uncomfortable. But punishment should definitely be out of the question.

I think hugging kissing in public in chennai should allowed because it shows affection to one another and i think its crap it should not be allowed because if i was married which i'm not i will get my wife to hug and kiss me and we only showing affection not doing anything else just showing how much we love each other the law in chennai is really retarded and i still think that couples should be allowed to kiss and hug in a public place and another thing other people should mind there own business about couples kissing and hugging in public places in chennai its really none of there business i find this really unfair not just unfair but complete bullshit about not being allowed to kiss and hug in a public place when i get married i am going to kiss and hug my miss's in a public place in chennai everyone else go get stuffed for all i care no one will come and tell me what to do and what not to do i dont listen to no one like i said i will hug and kiss my wife to be in a public place in india ----> any questions come and see me , like i said i wont listen to no one
