Thread: Who will Archie propose to and marry?

The Archie comics issue on 1-Sep-2009 is going to be a sell-out.

In this comic, Archie is going to propose. This is going to bring an end to a big suspense in the Archie Comics world and fans.

So those of you who love to read Archie, here is the poll.

I haven't read these in recent years but I used to read them long time

The new comic is going to show Archie and gang going out of high school to college (after 65 years ).

I voted for Betty because:

• I think that with maturity dawning slightly, Archie would realise that Betty fits his status more than anyone else. His would have liked to propose to Veronica but would have realised that his proposal would fall flat.
• I think that much as Veronica fights with Betty over Archie, it is more to do with her ego rather than anything else. She definitely enjoys his company and all but I doubt whether she would accept his proposal.
• I did not vote for the other two options because uptill now there has been never any other girl in Archie's life and I somehow donot think that the writers/publishers need a publicity stunt (the comics are fairly popular amongst the teenage crowd and even with oldies like me).

There was some long articles regarding this in mumbai times yesterday, And most of them answered BETTY only..

Oh I feel there's possiblity of expanding themselves. As such now If a new charecter were to be his wife, then obviously readers interest would be renewed.

Maybe they can cook up a flashback or sth else to make the series even more interesting.

Toronto: The age-old love triangle of Archie comics has finally been broken, after Riverdale's ultimate Playboy Archie Andrews picked the vixen Veronica over girl-next-door Betty to be his wife.

So what if Betty was a blonde, loyal and kind- when it came to popping the question Archie chose the raven-haired, charming and rich Veronica.

After 67 years of being in a dilemma, Archie is all set to tie the knot with the vixen-a choice that left many Archie comic fans in gasps.

Archie Comic Publications announced on May 27 that the flighty redhead from Riverdale picked Veronica over Betty Cooper.

Already in mid-May, the publisher sent speculation swirling when it announced a special marital-themed storyline for release in August, but didn't reveal the lucky lady.

The wedding will take place after the gang graduate from college, and venture out into the working world.

However, the response to the proposal has been markedly divided-Betty fans are outraged that the girl next door has been ditched yet again for the beautiful, yet spoilt, Ronnie.

While many fans are questioning whether Archie should marry at all, because it could mean a possible end to the enduring comic-book soap opera.

well a fren of mine told me that the comic book will be launched in August in USA.... but somewhr in news paper its been read tht betty got married to jughead n archie to veronica

It may all end up being Archie's dream ( they have done that in the past)

Sales are very low , so they are pulling all kinds of stunts

i dont think they have any idea of ending it
