Rep Power: 0 | Hi, Before adding my first post I want to say that congratulations for this great forum. Last week I came across a survey and according to that 80% of Britain, France, Germany and U.S people admit to downloading video illegally from the net. What do you think about this issue? I mean who will win governments or piracy? As you know, torrent site piratebay is a political part in Sweden and already won a seat in European Parliament Elections. |

| Platinum Member | Unless DVDs are available cheap, piracy is not going to reduce. It will never be completely gone but by making DVDs available at $5, the urge to download will be gone. Some ISPs in US have started monitoring download activities and are warning users of legal action upon dicovery of P2P downloads. Have a look at this article: Big companies have no right to cry about piracy

Rep Power: 5 | Pirate Party has become the 3rd largest party in Sweden which favors legalization of p2p. |

| Platinum Member | 80% of the world or 80% of the internet p2p community? If it is the later, then I am surprised that the figure is as low as 80%. I would put it at 99%. If 20% of p2p people are saying that they are downloading legally, then I will say that people buy Playboy for the stories. |

Rep Power: 1 | I read it for the stories. We can find all the pictures, even the hotter ones on the internet. I think such pictures inflate us so much, to the point that they make me sick (if I don't see them LOL, just kidding). |

Rep Power: 2 | You will never get rid of piracy entirely anyway. Going to the cinema or buying a DVD can be expensive and people just don't want to pay out so much money. |

| Aditya | Even i download stuff from internet but most of the times i prefer buying CD's or DVD's from Music World Store. If it is not available anywhere or if it very expensive then i never mind downloading it from internet/p2p. |
