Everywhere I go these days, young people, especially girls, are reading, discussing, drooling over Twilight by Stephanie Meyer.

Can someone shed some light on this?

Would like to know more about this book.

Well I have read the whole series in this a gal meet a boy who is a vamp (residing with a noble vamp ) & then they fall in love. Gal also had a friend who is a werewolf ( a shape shifter but he don't know it) .Then boy leave her as he don't want to turn her into a vamp & they are living in that area for quite a time. Gal is quite heartbroken. Then in another book her friend starts fall in love with her ( well he was in love already but had not been displaying it that openly). Well in this book gal had to leave to save her former lover ( whose friend had a vision in which gal fall from the water fall& he decide that she must have commited suicide) who had decided to commit the suicide in Italy where head of vamp reside & it is banned for a vamp to reveal their presence except for preying or thing like that. Anyway this guy is save but he had to promise the elder that he will turn her into vamp in a certain deadline. There is animosity between werewolf & vamp. But there is an ancient treaty between them. Then Gal & her lover get married. They had a daughter ( well a vamp can't have progeny , it was banned by ancients , but in this case it was exception as it is between human & vamp) & a'ter it she had to be turned into vamp to save her life but her friend fall in love with her daughter ( werewolf fall in love without any logic & if they met with their mate). Now Roman ancient come to deliver justice & werewolf side with protagonist also some friend of that good vamp ( who treated kept them) & also two renegade Ancients.

They leave mainly because of gal special ability which every have has.( it is related to shield on her case).

They find a witness who is also like Gal's daughter.


Well , overall all this book will not get more than 3 rating out of 5 as it has crappy dialogue & plot.

Even Eragon ( written by a 16 year old) was better than in that respect. I have read this series also. 4th book is still to arrive of this(inheritance) series.


Only reason of this book success is it mushy storyline & dealing with puppy love of high school & college going students.

i think the twilight series is terrible writing. that's not to say i didn't love the story for the romantic fantasy and the indulgence in sentimental emotions. the plots are all really cheesy. the series were clearly the fantasies of a sexually repressed/deprived mormonite.

the movies are GODAWFUL. spare yourself. the books were bad enough, but the movies - superfluous and cringe-worthy.

I jus saw the movie and it SUCKS.
god damn. why are people crazy behind this movie !!!

what stupid story line.
the fact that its a hit with young people indicates the deterioration in our education system where the emphasis on real literature is now totally missing.

The 4th part is allegedly copied from another book and the author of the original books plans to sew SM.

Not really surprised. Trash really sells.

Look at the reality shows.

- These shows originate in UK
- They are fine tuned in USA
- Then they land in India

Trash is cash nowadays.

You are right. I didn't criticise this series only because it might hurts some fans.

Actually, it would be better if you just read it and not watch the movie anymore. You'll only be disappointed more. :closedeyes:

Well yeah you're right in all your descriptions on this movie and the book itself but for the young its something that they can relate to the story..but for the young once well its another story

By the way, if you the book and watched the latest movie sequel to Twilight, its not that good. The effects and all are good as usual but the director changed the flow of the story and didn't follow what's in the book.

The funniest part is the dubbing in India they have already come out with 'aamhavas':lol:
