Thread: Buying condoms!! shameful

When you go to buy condoms in a hop or a supermarket, do you feel shy to ask for it or when the person on the counter is pricing it? how comfortable are you asking about the prices of different brands, the difference in quality etc. Do you ask for different varieties (dotted, ribbed, contoured, flavored etc)? How is your experience if the person on the counter is a female? I prefer guys answering this discussion.

That's why there is the internet. Do all your research online.
don't depend on that person behind the counter to have any
product knowledge. Get in the store, grab whatever you want,
checkout and get out.

If you feel shy, use the self service checkout, the problem is
if the machine doesn't scan the clerk will announce over the
loudspeaker "price check on condoms - jumbo pack, magnums" ;-)

I was asking, DO YOU FEEL awkward or weird asking in shops, medical stores for condoms??

Used to feel a little awkward in the beginning. Not any more. I do not ask for prices. I ask for the best quality.

well i ve a next questions than.....are girls/females shy to go to a medical shop to buy i-pill????

I used to hesitate alot in the beginning, but now the shopkeeper takes out the pack as soon as I get out of my car (just kidding).

I never ask for price/qualities, reason may be the same i.e. wants to get out from there as soon as possible. I know what I want.

I must confess, I can't buy a pack from a female clerk!

I still remebber that day, when for the first time I went to the medial shop to buy. I was feeling some what awkward. Now no issues....

not at all. well basic necessity.

you guys have to step up your contraception game.
maybe when we go here and there and want to prevent stds
then condoms are the way to go, but it is a slightly
unreliable form of birth control.

I felt shy only first time when all my friends refused to go to the chemist and ask for it... Being the group leader, I had to go and purchase it...

Now, it's not a problem... I don't need to ask for quality... Have researched more than required!

P.S. - I was in class 7th then...

i used one dozen condoms in one day when i was in college.

no don't think like that, it was fun to blow them like balloons
and float them during cultural festival

i first went to buy the condoms after my marriage only, that time only condoms known to me were nirodh and ks. i ask the shopkeeper to give me ks,he asked me how many? i had no idea,so my reply was 'ek mahine ke liye chahiye".He smiled and handed me a big pack of ks. that's the first and last time i bought condoms.yeah it's quite embarassing to ask for condoms. i feel very uncomfortable till the time i buy it and got out of the shop. actually i stopped buying condoms just for this very reason.i have one daughter and expecting another baby very soon. after this i have to decide on which contraception methods to use. and condoms are definitely not in consideration.

isn't it available in supermarkets. then you won't have any problems isn't it ?
