Generating traffic to blog is very important, here are very simple and easy ways to do so

*get a twitter account,tweet all your post on twitter, Twitter is the most effective and effortless way to get traffic to your blog
*Register at Blogcatalog.com, interact with bloggers form a community discuss topics meet like minded people get traffic !
*comment on blogs of other people, this is very important by commenting i mean qualitative comments.
*use bookmarking sites like digg, del.ico.us., Furl, Reddit, Stumble upon this helps get more exposure
*Add a social bookmark button, make it easy for bookmarking
* Ping technorati. Or have it done automatically
*submit your blogs to sites like blogadda, indiblogger, networked blogs and other blog networks and forums
*encourage people to comment, by ending your post with question or asking opinions and when they do reply promptly atleast say a thanx for visiting.
*Add your blogs URL to email signatures and signatures of other forums
*write about news! If possible be one of the first to write about breaking news
*Submit Your Blog to Search Engines

I have, host of them at least, and i don't even get a single view !!

Submitting blogs to search engines really does not work, if its good google will get it, otherwise forget it...Twitter is fail, hardly get a few visitors ......

huh !? well for me it works like magic especially twitter !
you are not propbably using twitter the right way then, this one site has immense potential !
