    Post Harley Davidson to hit Indian roads

    Harley Davidson the oldest and most popular brand, known for their design and exhaust will finally enter Indian roads this year

    But since they are an American brand and new to indian markets they will keep the production in US only. That means their bikes will have an import duty of 60% , which makes it an expensive deal for Indian fans, the starting price will be around 7 lakhs almost double from the price in USA , but not all model will be launched, only 10-12 models from a collection of 200 models will be launched.

    These bikes will give tough competition to super bikes available in Indai like the Hayabusa , Intruder from Suzuki; CBR 1000RR Fireblade,CB 1000R from Hondaand many others especially from ducati.

    India has a strong motor cycle market of 7 million.
    The company has already planned subsidiary in gurgaon near Delhi.

    This is really good news to bikers in India as the cult bikes all ready to hit the roads

    Yes it is out Harley launches 883 Sportster at Rs. 6.95 lakh. Harley Davidson India launched its range of products in India at the 2010 Auto Expo in New Delhi.

    yeah the auto expo had a lot of action !
    bu the pricing + duty is high !

    Those are entirely different class of bikes, HD is a cruiser while the others are
    sportbikes.

    they are totally different bikes, they may be in the same segment (price wise) but one who love of bike, will hate the other !

    I would like TATA to make something like Harley Davidson which would be affordable here in India and more and more people can have this great experience of riding a Harley Davidson
