Thread: Gmail backup methods

Gmail’s e-mail loss last week gave me a bit of a scare and made me realize I actually don’t back my e-mail up that much. I used Thunderbird in the past and there’s a bunch of Windows-based back-up programs available, but I’m a mac user. Also made me think about whether to choose about cloud-based backups or local backups. What do you think?

If your e-mails are very important to you then save them locally and on some offsite server as well to be sure that you wont loose them.

Mail client OE or Outlook can be used. ( I used OE)
can compose messages off line.
