    Default Dominant Husband

In most cases it is the husband who is more dominant over the woman, and this just makes the woman feel low and pressurized.

In most cases it is seen that whatever a husband says his wife has to do, but when the wife asks the husband well its up to the husband to decide whether he wants to do it or not. For example the husband asks for tea, the wife makes it, but if in once in a blue moon the wife asks for tea the man refuses or comes with a fowl excuse.
A husband can go out whenever he wants and sometimes doesn't even ask his wife, but if the wife asks to do something or go somewhere, the husband refuses makes an issue out of the situation and makes a stupid face.
A man can talk and say whatever he wants to his wife, but if the wife does the same back, shes the bad one and shes the one who has attitude.

Sometimes i think a women's life is so useless when shes married, and what respect does she have and what rights does she have. In some cases a women is like that from her parents house and then the same happens when she gets married.

Why is it that women can not speak up or be equal to men?

In a very few and rare cases this is also applied to dominant wives.

Its the past now as well, sometimes what you don't see seems as if it doesn't exist, but there are things like this which still exist. You may not have come across people who are like this which is why you think this.
Although India has come far and society is changing people have a mind set and it is why these things happen, sometimes what people have grown up to see think its right, so you cant say that this does not exist anymore.
Why do you think there is still domestic violence, and its not just in the lower profiles but also in educated people as well, it maybe you haven't seen the world yet and just referring to people who live around you and not people in general in and around India or the rest of the world.

I know this is fact but there are few males on this planet who prefer to treat females with same respect and status, I think i am one of them

sometimes it can also be the educated people who behave like that, as i mentioned it depends on what they think, what atmosphere they have been bought up in and many other things.

Education has nothing to do with this problem.

I have generally observed that those who are unable to dominate in the outside world take their frustration out by being dominating over their wives. Of course, the reverse is not necessarily true.

I also lay the fault on the upbringing and particularly the mothers. In a bid to re-establish the loosing (so-called) no 1 position in the female hierarchy, they cajole their sons to keep their wives under the thumb. A guy I know said in our group "Paaon ki jooti paaon mein hi rahni chahiye." (the proper place for the sandals is at the feet). And he said it with utmost emphasis and seriousness.

In the animal kingdom consisting of social aniamals, the social structure is always dominated by a matriarch - ants, termites, bees, wild dogs, hyenas, lions, elephants, ... What does that tell you?

While my advocacy is not reverse the structure but equal participation and responsibility will bring the best out of you and it will be good for the children and next generation.

The Guy who said this is the biggest looser you will ever come across in your whole life just4kix, honestly one should not talk like this, in fact one should not even think like think

    It is really sad

Do you have any idea what makes them think that other human is not good to take same status or what makes them feel that females are sandals or shoes which we are supposed to keep under feet only.

Yes the above highlighted text has been proven by research .... I have also seen it with my own eyes ... Men who are intimidated by the outside world tend to be ultra strict with their children and wife .... Which is merely a form of Domination .....

I think this is the issue of old.Nowadays women are free to do whatever they want. They no longer are bounded by the society.

You know what they say, most of the

    Imagine my scenario ....

I read something like that in the Newspaper ... years later i remember it and post it ... and some guy thinks that i am fibbing ... and asks for reference ...And well

-->papers dont last for so many years .... def not newspapers

-->i could search the online versions u say? ..... dont remember the exact year .... And this is really too trivial for me to spend time on pinning down a reference (Partly lack of time)... i am not willing to re read a lot of old newspapers to find this one .

-->Google search is equally difficult ..... Keywords like "dominant Husbands " dont yield anything relevant .... And again no time to fine tune my search

So i find it difficult to prove myself

Anyways this is just a casual discussion ..... i have no idea what ur trying to prove here

I can def say that there was a research on this topic .... That much was said in that newspaper article years back .And i trust my newspaper wont try and run hoax articles .
