Thread: Mac Internet Issue

I have recently got Mac 13 inch Laptop.
I have Airtel 256KBps unlimited broadband connection.
When i connect it to Mac laptop it gives me download speed as dialup speed i.e around 76Kbps, but when i check the upload speed it is 212KBPS(from internet speed test)
Can any one tell me what is the problem?
Moreover i have Dell Vista Laptop which shows 280KBPS download speed and upload speed is 212 KBPS.

so many views no reply ..........
anyway the problem is solved i don't know how but after restart it was working fine as usual

i have same problem. my mac is giving pathetic speed on my reliance wireline broadband while lenovo laptop is giving great speeds when used on that connection. someone plzzz reply.

IMHO, You should probably let airtel guys know about this problem.
They might let you know some settings or tweaks for mac.

I never had any such problems with my mac, i have both Airtel on wifi and reliance usb and both give decent speed. must be some setting which needs to be tweeked.
