Thread: Apple i-Pad : Shortcomings

Apple has always been a brand name; people eagerly wait for their next assignment to be launched. The latest being the I-pad. Doubtlessly, it’s a masterpiece but I feel the product could have been better. Here are the points which I didn’t like about the product & wish these could be corrected.

- No shield for Screen: I-pad got a 9.7” screen but totally unprotected, no cover, no guard nothing. This could be major drawback, it can totally affect its looks if damaged or got scratches while handling carelessly.

- Multi-tasking: Such a great piece of work but without Multi-tasking option. You cannot open two applications simultaneously. If you are using Face book just forget to open you audio file to hear some good music side by side.

- Flash: Flash has not been added to i-pad, which means no applications no flash files can be used on this.

- Camera: I-pad doesn’t have a camera! Heartbreaking for most of us, but this is true. Some say there is no need of camera in i-pad but this is just my opinion.

- Storage Capacity: The base model for $499 doesn’t have the storage expansion option available. The storage capacity in the base model is 16 GB & there is no extra slot provided in the device to get it upgraded later.

Yeah thats why I have written somewhere it is a no revolution.

whatever shortcomings it may have, i am not going to purchase it, so no worries at all))

hsinam there were many like you who raised questions like this when Apple iPhone was launched and now when iPhone is the best phone ever released in human history no one comes out..

well apple is saying that they have implemented multitasking for safari,music and video
but still its crap
m waiting for notionink ADAM but guess thats a vaporware

Every product has its pros and cons. iPad has definitely got some crucial shortcomings which I would like to see implemented in the next version, its its got some advantages too.


As for the Adam, ill like to see it in production first. Its like I announce a car that can go at 400Km/h, give a mileage of 100KM/ltr and cost Rs3000 and never come out with it....I really hope it comes soon.period.
