    have you tried importing the contacts form the phone to google contacts then syncing then exporting them from there to a file on the computer then importing that into the address book
    or you can also go through the info page in itunes for your phone and sync contacts from the phone to the computer that way by checking the box that says sync contact to then select address book

    You should just be able to connect the iPhone to the iMac via the USB cable. iTunes should detect the iPhone immediately, and start the sync. I use Windows on my computers, but I own an iPhone 4. My iPhone syncs right away via iTunes. It should be even easier with a Mac.

    There is a step by step instruction on How to transfer iPhone contacts to my iMac.
    Hope it can do you a favor.
    I have synced my ipod contacts through iTunes to the Mac address book. Since the iPod uses iOS just as the iPhone does, that should also work for an iPhone.

    @jamievenna: Just follow these steps:

    Start bluetooth on your mobile devise.

    Open Application from Macintosh HD, locate iSync, this application comes with mac.

    Open it, then go to devices, and click on Add Device.

    You can see your mobile name in the list. If not, click on the Scan button.

    Select your mobile from the list.

    It will open iSync control panel, here you can see some options. For first sync choose "MERGE DATA ON COMPUTER AND DEVICE" Check the check box of "TURN ON SYNCHRONIZATION", "CONTACTS" and "CALENDARS", after this just click on sync devices icon. sync will start.

    That's it........ You can see all your contacts in Address book. this application also is in Applications folder.
