5 years ago, the Wagon R costed around 3.75 lakhs. 2 lakh for a 5 year old car is a bit high even if the car is in excellent condition. What is the mileage done. Some problems are not apparent - clutch and gear box is one of them. I hope that suspension and stearing is fine. What about tyres?

Have you had it assessed at an authorised Maruti service station. They may do that for a fee. If there are no major issues, then it is worth.

You can also asses the value at Carwale.com.

    I agree with just4kix ...

You can get a 2 year old wagon r with that much money ... may be even newer if you tried hard.

If you are not very good at judging cars take some one with you who is.

    Dont buy a Wagon-R.
After Zen, Esteem, Baleno and Alto its now Wagon-r's turn.
I wud suggest not even a new one.

The value of 5 yrs old car shud be not more than 1.65 Lacs to a dealer.

I would never go by what the odometre says as its too easy to manipulate it. Check for other stuff like the brake paddle, accelerator padle for wear and tear .. get some one experienced to have a look at that area to tell how much has the car been driven and in what conditions.

Any one experienced enough will tell you after driving 3-4 kilometres about the condition of the engine and everything including axles and suspension and all that.
