Default Should I Buy MARUTI SUZUKI RITZ

I have tested Maruti Suzuki Ritz and is fine and stable too......but seeing the other option Hyundai i20 it is too hard for me to opt for the best car.....

The i20 is much more costly as compared to Ritz. Both cars are good. The i20 belongs to the B+ segment (almost a C).

But I believe that Maruti-Suzuki gets a thumbs-up for lower maintenance and cost of spares.

Hyundai has better built quality than Maruti if you look that way Hyundai is best.
Dont have any personal experience with Ritz so cant comment with regard to that particular car.

As said above Maruti enjoys lower maintenance cost.

Maruti cars are always low on maintenance while i doubts maintenance cost for the Hyundai cars. you can find maruti car mechanic every where so its rather easy to own Maruti car in India.

I would go for Maruti Ritz, as Maruti cars a reliable, and you will be a getting a new model car, which is quite different from the others. It also looks more stable than the i20.

    False.

In general Maruti cars are lower on maintenance but not necessarily for the newer models which have not achieved high indigenization as yet.

    Same reasons as (3) above.

However, i20 is much better car feature wise. It is much larger in size.

The Ritz cannot be compared to i20. It should be compared to i10.

Default Ritz excellent car but bad looks

Going by the legacy of Maruti Suzuki cars like Alto and Swift I can say that Ritz is the car you should put your money on because it is a performer on Indian roads and it is build for Indian roads. Maruti Suzuki knows the Indian driving habits and the Indian roads and manufactures the vehicles exactly according to that.

But as far as the looks of Rits are concerned, I have just one word "Louzy." I was utterly disappointed. It looks like an ancient chariot on tyres.

It is true that i20 is much costlier - but it is much more roomier and better in features also. In fact, it has almost all the features of a car in the luxury segment. Besides, i20 cannot be compared to Ritz; compare the Ritz to i10 (as I said before).

The i20 should be compared to Jazz, Fabia, etc.

On the reliability front: both cars are new. What is the basis of this statement?

i20 is a king in its segment when features are compared, but the engine is a big waste, not at all worth spending soo much on the car, but ritz is comparitively less in cost and its worth the price you pay for, i've driven both the cars and i20 lags power, it cant handle the car, i20 diesel is a good car again, if you want to pick a diesel hatch then go for i20, engine is powerful.

Thumbs up ritz is best when compared with i20

compared with i20,ritz is too good in its features.its a great car with cool interiors and even the leg space in the car is huge and the engine is best in Technology. with K-12 engine its made of Aluminium and is very powerful and best part its from Maruti.

Hi I am a proud owner of Maruti Ritz Diesel version and would like to share you that it is only 6 months old and till 2nd servicing it use to give me an average of 18 with ac on and now it gives an average of around 22+ with ac on i am very satisfied with it .. even shockers and suspensions are also of very good quality i also have swift diesel with me but ritz have better ground clearance i stay in faridabad and here road condition is very bad i previously have a santro compared to it ritz is the most economical car ..

I have been driving my sister's Ritz for the last three weeks and must have driven more then 1500kms and in my opinion its a very good small car for the price it comes at and is very economical to run as well. I havent had a chance to drive an i20 so cant really tell the difference.. Ritz is really quick on the Delhi roads especially in the 3rd gear when the engine revs up to 2000+ it zooms past traffic better then most other cars in the segment. Ritz disappoints me on the braking front because when you are doing 70-80 and want to come to a complete halt I didint like the way this car behaves..

Over all a very good city car and also good for small intercity commute once in a while but if you do long distances too often I would suggest going for a larger car with larger wheels then a ritz has. Good value for money though!
