I tried this new car Maruti swift today and to be honest I am quite impressed with this made in India car, Its got the same engine as maruti esteem so the power to weight ratio isint too bad. The only thing I diidnt like about it was the leg room for the rear seats. The music system which comes with it is crap I would suggest you buy a version which doesnt come with a music system. Airconditioner rocks.. I need a lot to be impressed but this cars aircon has it all Its pretty good and does it for people sitting at the back as well.
Another thing which can be improved upon is the airbags as it doesnt have one even for the driver for some reason.Alloy wheels would make it look like a true teenagers car. Over all a good boys car who wants to cruise at the shops parade in the evening. I did a few rounds of skidding at Dwarka roads this after noon and burnt a bit of rubber and I would say its an above average stable car and would do you good in hilly areas as well.The third gear has some good power in it as I did the third gear at 20kms per hour up hill on a fly over and it took me up to 65 untill I reached the top of the fly over and not many Indian cars would do that especially cars like zen and wagon r are far behing swift.
The above lines were for the petrol version, I am going to test drive the diesel car in a few days as I have a friend who has bought one a few months ago and he is comming to Delhi next week.

swift is a good car won many awards internationally is more powerful in its range but the average swift is providing is less and right now all we care is price of petrol

Isn't swift an automatic one? May be I misunderstood about that fact. Or did you had a manual gear shift one? They may have both varieties available.

It has got great looks. I think the price is not too costly. Its a well designed and the features seems to be too good for the indian conditions. I really admire its style. The red colour is good and it seems to do good business.

I really like Swift exterior design and it looks really cool from outside bit i was a little disappointed when i saw the interior of the car as it was not that much spacy as it looks from outside.

I think Maruti could have done much better on Swift.

Swift is the best car made by Maruti Sazuki. It has got the looks and i would say that this car is value for money car specially its diesel version. I dont know why i havnt seen that much Swifts on road.

Swift have a great diesel version and i think that it is the best car in the diesel segment in its ranger after Indica Turbo which is much better then this car because of its great pickup.

swift is the best launch from maruti in its mini-cars i believe..i just loved its looks when it was first launched..and it goes with most of the classes purchasing it too and specially for the younger generation..the only thing which is lacking is lesser space for the storage..but thats justified with its looks,mileage and price

Swift is a very good car..I think its the new revolution of Maruti industry..

I love the looks of Swift and the shape is too sexy and the milage may be good and the comfort is the best part Over all I would give 9/10 for Swift

I'm planning to get a Swift or a Getz for our 4Member Family.. I'm quite impressed.. The Orance or the Titanium Blue Colour is the best.. Whats the mileage??

I am not that much impressed by this car looks. I think they could have done a little much better as the present model looks big from outside by is very much small from inside.

I reall love this car and i would say that it is really a great car and as of the interior they i would say Swift is good but they could have done a little much more better then this one.

It is a good car and as of the interior quality which i think some people dont like .. i would say that they have done a good job. This is what i can expect from Maruti and they have given it in this car. So i am happy with Swift.

I like this car design. ( interior and exterior). This is a true city car in my terms and with diesel engine this car is really a good offer but it think that they should drcrease teh car price by some 50-60 k.

Swift is a good looking city car as per its designs. It also have a powerful engine but this car is not as cheap as other Maruit cars in terms of serivce and repairs.

I like Maruit Swift. It has a good looking design and more over the best thing is that it also comes in diesel but i think Maruit could have done a lot more better then what is beging presently being offered.

Model wise its a new concept and no doubt a good one


To me it gives a look of a plan , i feel as it is running on a Runway and soon it will take off

Maruti Swift is a little over prices and this is the biggest drop back in this car otherwise this is the best car to go with in its segment.

Amazing mileage.... 25kmpl on hi-way and 20 kmpl in city...
pretty nice pickup...
except bit of unstablility in hills...
overall, value for money....

i like swift as well.. not too small , and looks good.

swift looks great and is a very comfortable car. though the steering is not adjustible, every proportion is perfect for an average person. And with some minor external mods it looks really really cool.

I admire the power of swift... It exceeded my expectations when I first drove it...
