Rep Power: 2 | Hi All... Nice to see such and interesting forum here... I have an alto lx Dec 2004 model... Earlier when i used to drive above 100... by 120 the steering used to vibrate and I knew it was normal with Alto so i used to speed down .. but now I am facing this probelm even at 90KM/h n above... wat can be the problem... Other thing is all of a sudden my car has became too noisy now.. i mean seems like i am sitting in a plane cockpit when on high speeds... earlier i though its my air pressure.. but the pressure and all everything is checked... I didnt get the wheel balancing work done though... can that be a problem??? Please tell me what should I have to get checked... Tx in advance.. |

Rep Power: 2 | Well you need to get your car checked by some authorized service people and they would let you know about it in detail and if you car is around 50,000 KM old then this is normal. |

Rep Power: 2 | Well as of the wheel balancing it is not that much a big concern with noise. If you don't get it done it would effect on your tyres but not your car noise. You should get it check from some good mechanic. |

| Platinum Member | Best to get your car checked up at an authorized point. You may have one or more of the following issues: a) Steering column bent/damaged slightly. This can happen if you hit a pot hole at high speed b) Rubber bushes of suspension worn out c) Generic Suspension problem Be careful. The Alto is not meant to be driven above 80 kmph.

Rep Power: 2 | Wheel balancing does not have that much effect on car noise. It has effect on car handling and i think if you are facing this problem then you should get your suspension checked. |

Rep Power: 2 | Kindly get your engines fab belt and clutch plate checked. This may help. |

- Get your tyres checked (Rotated) (Bruised tyres result in cabin noise) - Wheels aligned and balanced. - Steering shaft / wheel bearings checked. | |

| Platinum Member | No point posting here. This thread is nearly 9 months old. Much water would have flown in the River Ganga by now and car must have done another round of servicing. Besides, I haven't seen nansurabhi active for quite a while. |
