When do we need to change the clutch plate ?
My car is now more than 2 years old (done more than 20k) , when I had given the car for service at Maruti Showroom the engineer was advising me to replace it ! Now a days I am hearing some sounds when I shift to 3rd /4th gears. Also i need to release clutch more when I have to climb steep..
Has anyone changed the Clutch and any particular reasons ?

    TIA

Clutch replacement is not fixed. It need to be replaced when it is completely used or broken down and you can know this when you would have problem changing your cars gears.

It all depends on how you drive your car. Like if you over rie your clutch then you would need to replace your clutch much soon and if you are a good driver and don't do clutch riding and you are easy on your car then your clutch would not need any replacement till 80 K Kms.

I got my Esteem clutch plates changed at 65, 000 KM (the last serivce which i had) and as i drive my car very easily i think this is something you should also look for your clutch plates change if you drive your car easily.
