Rep Power: 2 | I think that Maruti Esteem had been in market for a long time now and it is a good time to get it out of market as if you look there are no good sales of this car in the present day market. People are going for other cars such as Hyundai Accent and other cars.. but not this one.. What do you think? |

Rep Power: 2 | I think it would be good if Maruti would take this car out of Indian market as it had been in market for long time and more over it looks very much out dated. Even re-designing of this car would not help that much. |

Rep Power: 2 | Well as of me i would not suggest Maruti this thing as Esteem had been one of the best selling car and more over the most popular car in India so getting this one out is not a good deal. |

| Platinum Member | The Maruti Esteem is a good value for money. It is reasonably priced and offers good mileage. Its maintenance costs (service+spares) are cheapest for the car in its class. So I don't see any solid reason for it being discontinued unless Maruti-Suzuki comes with a better model in the same class.

Rep Power: 2 | Instead of completely taking off esteem from the market, maruti should have worked on it and should have launched a revamped version instead. |

Rep Power: 12 | Lets cut this debate here... Maruti Esteem has been discontinued by Maruti Suzuki in India long ago... first they discontinued the diesel version and now the petrol versions have been stopped as well. Swift petrol version has the same engine as the old Esteem though. |

Rep Power: 2 | Redesigning the car would be a much better option othere then to stop this car.. i would say that if Maruit can offer more quality in this car then it would surely be liked by Indian people. |

Rep Power: 2 | Yes, Maruti should either get Esteem out of the market or it should re-design this car as it looks very old fashioned and also its lacks in quality too. |

Rep Power: 2 | I think facelift would be a much better idea. It's a very quick car. |

Rep Power: 2 | Yeah, i think it was about time they shut esteem down. At one time i did hope they would continue upgrading it as it was a well established fast car, and it also handled well, u know how ford is kept mustang alive by constantly improving it. However, maruti did not do that. Besides, i think the Dzire , replacing the esteem, is an excellent car as well. Reviews say it it handles almost a well as the swift, i've driven a swift vdi a lot and going by that, it shld be good. |

Rep Power: 0 | ya i think maruthi has to deceide upon esteem to stop production because it is no producing volumes to the company and it may fade out from the market soon. so atleast they can alter the esteem and give to the market with some new features included into the car --------------------------------------------------------------------------- abilash shalini |
