    Default Maruti Alto or 800?

Which on do you think is a better deal. Would you like to go for Maruti Alto or you would like to go for Maruti 800. I think that Maruit 800 is a outdated car and it would be better to go with Maruit Alto as it is much better looking and also a great valur for money car.

    What are your opinions.?

If you ask me i will surely go for Alto, it got more style, mileage, pickup, power.....

maruti 800 stands nowhere in front of Alto

There is not doubt about that alto is far better than martuti 800 because for all the reasons you have already explained but i heard some maruti 800 cars manufactured long time back were having or giving more mileage than any other cars of the present from Maruti but not sure about the present maruti 800!

My suggestion would be to go with Maruti Alto as it has all the things which one can get in this price and more over it much better looking car then 800.

If anybody from "Maruti" will ever read all our comments I am sure they will stop manufacturing Maruti 800 and will double their Alto production

True to an extent - but M800 is cheaper by almost 1 lakh and that makes a difference to some.

if you compare this with the features one is getting then you would notice that this is not that much of a big difference.... but people would like to go owith Santro more then going on with this car...

Actually if you asked me, Both are good. It dose have a utility and finance which is a deciding factor. :48:

Normally Alto has power staring which is not in 800. But the cost is almost 80 thousand more. Is this rally worth is a question which will decide the purchase.

    Thanks

I would go for Alto anyday, but i use an old 1997 M800 for city rides and till this day it hasnt given me any troubles. Maybe due to low running, it has clocked just 46k.

if u want the AC to function and still not bring the car to a halt, then its Alto only and not 800.

Go for Alto as Maruti is planning to phase out its most successful model M-800 with 5-6 years. Then the next entry level car which will be available is Alto. Alto has good mileage and looks quite good. Its wider than rest of Maruti cars i.e, 3-4 people can be seated in rear seats.

While WagonR, Estilo have less space in their rear seats.

    Smile Maruti 800

Maruti 800 IMO has truly been the car that made India drive.I still get nostalgic recalling that most of the cars that i saw on road during my childhood were indeed dominated by Maruti 800.Everything from the product features, price, marketing seemed perfectly connected to India and this is one thing i totally feel M 800 managed to stay on the road for 26 years and still counting.Maruti will continue selling its M 800 in other cities where the EURO IV norms have not been mandated.

definetly ALTO its advanced model of Maruti 800. i loved the latest version the Xcite, one which has power windows and body colored bumpers and stylish dash board. I am wondering when maruti will launch the LPG version of alto. The mileage of the alto in highway is also good.

As Maruti 800 is not BS IV complaint and major cities across india has stopped it from coming on the road which makes Alto more successful in coming time.
