guys gimme ur mileage with AC on and off...for ur esteem...

I used to own an Esteem till 3 years ago. Never drove with my AC off. I used to get 12 km/l on Pune streets and 15~16 km/l on highway.

kix...i have a non euro II esteem...it gives 8-9 w/o AC...wats the best way to know the correct mileage....?? and how can i increase it...i've meen taking it to lot of MAS's but to no avail...

something is wrong with your vehicle. usually esteem gives around 12-14 kmpl w/o AC in city.. Pease check your air filters, sp plugs, etc ....

it was worse before.....changed the spark plugs...it reached to wat i have now...wat else can i do

what is running of your engine.... check your fuel pump, filters oil / air, try and de-carbonise the engine... my friends esteem 2000 model gave mileage of 18 KMPL with AC on Mumbai-Goa highway recently...

hi dv8ted, you could try a couple of things...
1. Get you carburetor overhauled (I'm guessing its a carb engine) and re-tuned. (IMP)
2. Try de-carborising the engine.
3. How many KM has your vechile done? If its clocked more than 80 - 90 k then chnage ur silencer (preferably a free flow, though free flow can change the sound of your car)
4. Chnage your air filter to a K&N if possible, it is abt 4k - 5k in market but it is a lifetime filter.

5. Make sure u regularly check ur tyre pressure, keep it abt 2-3 psi more than manufacturer recommended level. It will give u a very slightly bumpy ride but milage will improve.
