| Same story in Pune. The waiting time is 6+ months and some even say 9 months. Why is your friend wasting a good 12-15K on this model? To me, the Swift (orig) is more 'desirable' because of its Mini-Cooper look

| I agree the diesel swift rocks and looks a lot better then this new model but then every one has thier own preferences. |

| I really don't understand why people still had to wait for six plus months to get their car delivered in this fast paced world! Why not those car manufacturers make it ready to meet the demand and then start advertising instead of making them wait!! |

Every body said for 6 months, but if you make a mind to purchase and booked >> they delivered within 2 months. I don't think so that dealers are charging premium (black), if any body said, report to maruti >> they will cancel the dealership. So if you are really interested to wonder car >> go and book it by say 51K. |

| If I had the money I would buy the Civic but unfortunatly for me its just too much money for me to spend on a car Honda Civic is one of the best cars ever launched in that segment and in my opinion its THE BEST. Althought Honda Civic is known for its fuel effecience across the globe but it would still drill a hole in your pocket if you compare it with any diesel car. In India right now and for atleast 5 more years.. Diesel is the way to go. Petrol is going to get more and more costlier in time to come and Diesel will still continue to be a lot more cheaper then Petrol as it impacts inflation instantly and it would be a political suicide for any government to decrease diesel subsidy and bring it at par with petrol. Diesel also gives you more kilometres for ever litre you burn but also costs less. The main reason petrol cars still sell is they cost a lot less then diesle cars traditionally and their maintanance is less and in India we have a pre defined idea of diesel cars that they have to much engine noise inside the car and a lot of vibration but thats a thing of the past. Its a different story if you plan to run a honda civic on CNG, My friend runs his Honda CRV on CNG here in Delhi and it costs him less then Rs2 per kilometer. Toyota will come out with a new model very soon and phase out Innova ... I think there was something in newspapers a few months ago about this I am not too sure. |
