| I am planning to buy a Wagon R , actually i have already booked one. My concern is, by the word of mouth i heard that they are doing some modification in Wagon R model like reducing its height and doing some changes in the front part. I have checked on the internet but found nothing like that, whereever I searched abt new model of Wagon R, I got the LPG model I just want to know from you "brainy" people have the heard such kind of thing or I can now sleep at nights because I have already booked Wagon R Lxi Anything else you want me to tell about LXI will be much appreciated!!! |

| Platinum Member | The Wagon R already got a face lift 2 years ago - so I doubt that any serious changes are in the offering. There are three types of changes that happen to any vehicle: a) Change of heart, i.e., engine specs, gear box, transmission b) Change of body, i.e., body shape/size, seating arrangements, etc. c) Change of clothes, i.e., minor changes of styling, looks, etc. All of the above cost money and unless there is a real need to do this it is not done. Normally major uplift is carried out after 5/6 years. (A) and (B) above are completely ruled out as far as Wagor R is concerned. So if you are sure of what you want just do it.

Rep Power: 2 | As far as i know from One of my friends working in Maruti Dealership, Maruti is going to Phase out WagonR within a year of Launch of Splash(Launching in around December 2008) or may be sooner. Splash will take place of Wagonr to compete Hyundai i10.Splash will be launched with 2 different engine variants of Petrol and diesel also. That might you have listened that wagonR is changing in loks or whatever. |

Rep Power: 0 | Wagon R is the most best selling model in Indian Market. Its tall boy design gives personality to the customer.Hardly santro /i 10 gives the same. Maruti WagonR is a established brand and cannot be replaced by others.Since cocacola cannot stop selling coke, just like Maruti Suzuki cannot stops selling WagonR |

Rep Power: 1 | It has been heard that Maruti is stopping the production of WagonR but i doubts why Maruti is taking such stupid step. WagonR is the most successful model after M-800 & Alto. We have seen many WagonR on the roads. This model has all the looks, appeals what a maruti car's should have. There is no change in the model but its slowly going to be phased out.. but when thats only Maruti knows. |
