Amongst the modern day authors, Jeffrey Archer and J K Rowling write immaculately. Read the books first time for pure entertainment. The second time analyse the word usage crictically and try to copy the style.

Amongst other things never repeat a common noun or adjective in a sentence (or a paragraph).

Hi Chinmay, Of course I would like to befriend you and help you to best of my quality.

My English was no better when I was your age. To improve English, I will recommend that you read books by P G Wodehouse and try to emulate his style. Also try to read classic English literature - Pride and Prejudice, The Mayor of Casterbridge, The Count of Monte Cristo (originally French) are really good books. But instead of just reading them for fun and time-pass try to bring that writing style into your own.

Unfortunately our corporate world gives a lot of importance to English and that is wrong. The importance should be given to method of expression and writing articulately. Most Japanese do not know a word of English but they are ahead of everyone in terms of technology. We Indians have to learn a lot - but it is also true that our English abilities have brought us the IT revolution and power.
