The Golden Gate Bridge is an engineering marvel of the modern world. No doubt that there are better and more astounding bridges now but the Golden Gate bridge still inspires awe and admiration. For a span of just over a mile, it uses 80,000 miles of cable!

Pier 39 is one of the Piers of the San Francisco harbour. It is popular because it is a cool place to hang about and has many popular boat ride - particularly to Alcatraz Island, a former prison and also known as "The Rock". Alcatraz has been featured in some popular movies.

Napa Valley in North California is famous for the wineries. It is two hours scenic drive from San Francisco. The best time to visit is early spring so that you can catch the threshing part. You can also sample their wines at $3 to $5 each.

And who says India is not beautiful?

Mahabaleshwar is situated at over 1500 ft in the Sahyadri mountains, 40 km from Satata and 120 km from Pune. It is an ideal weekend gateaway for people from Mumbai/Pune. Early spring is a good time to visit. Summer is the peak season. Monsoons are very heavy but this season is also picking up. Most hotels include breakfast/lunch/dinenr in the fare and 90% are Gujrathi style vegetarian.

Warwick Castle is a fabulous castle in Warwickshire. It is less than 30 miles from Birmigham/Solihull and almost the same distance to Stoke-on-Trent, the home of William Shakespere. Warwick castle is now run by Madam Tussaud's foundation and has waxworks and a sound/light show to describe the history. But the best part is the surrounding itself - pristine, calm and beautiful as with any UK country side. Highly recommended a visit.

Electronic Arts or EA is famous for its games and controls nearly 50% of Console and PC Games software. The HQ is located in Redwood City, California. They also have a studio at Venice Beach, LA and another office in Chertsey, Surrey, UK. EA work culture is different and is probably one of the few places where one can play games at work!!
