Rep Power: 9 | the theoritical maximum on a CDMA 1x network is 155 kbps. no modem can get u more than that. CDMA EVDO (Rev.0 and Rev.A) gives much higher speeds. The EDVO Rev.A data service of Relliance (Netconnect BB+) advertises maximum speeds of 3.1 mbps and would definitely give u more than 1 mbps stable speed. But it does not come with a SIM and to no. is hard coded into the device. |

Rep Power: 9 | presently BSNL & TATA Indicom Photon are operating on EVDO Rev.0 and Relinace Netconnect BB+ is operating on EVDO Rev.A. Out of these only TATA indicom comes with a SIM. In case of BSNL & Reliance the No. is hardcoded into the device so can not be used with any other modem. The normal plug2surf is a CDMA 1x device and can not support EVDO service. |
