Ya after trail period, its obvious they will have to do it, since they have to provide unique creditials as well.

Unless they are sincerely worried about misuse, they would probably use some unique ID which a wifi card may have, i dunno if wifi have sth like mac id.

yes but they claim to use large number of nodes as opposed to hot spots. Lets wait and see !

Congratz to Guys and Gals sitting in Chennai..

btw i heard that Pune was the city to be wi-fied ??maybe i heard wrong..but i heard somewhere, someone pls throw some light, heres so dark this side..

Yup when I was there, even I heard that Pune was to be wi-fied... And few areas were actually wi-fied... Like MG Road... Don't know whats the scene there now... Will ask my friends...

Its good that Chennai along with other cities is getting wi-fi enabled!

Maybe the project in Pune got shelved... But same news was doing rounds about Pune 1 n half yrs back...
