Rep Power: 12 | I would suggest Reliance nettconnect broadband plus if you want to go for mobile broadband. They have got various data plans with speed if in Urban areas goes up to 2mbps in practice. |

| Reliance as well as Tata is providing good speed if you go for mobile broadband, But if you're ardent downloader then i would suggest that you go for wired connection, There are some good unlimited plan by BSNL or Reliance.. |

| Platinum Member | If you are not going to travel much and if at you travel but your travel is restricted to metro's/tier A cities, then opt for Reliance Netconnect+ or Tata Photon +. Else BSNL EVDO is better. |

i did a lot of research before searching for mobile connections in India.. i am personally using BSNL right now.. and i have used Airtel in the past.. one thing i have to say that is even though there are claims made by the government there really is no perfect mobile internet solution available for the internet users in India

1.Speeds of your mobile internet device is dependent on a lot factors like your location, weather etc. whereas the wired connection speed depends on a lot lesser factors 2.I am using BSNL EV-DO.Though I am not getting the speeds told by them in my house(I am getting speeds of 55kBps average for 24 hours less for me) but in my friends house it was giving an average of 0.9mbps for 24hours.At night times it gave him 1.5 mbps.So it varies a lot from place to place. And the best thing about it is you get UL plan for Rs.650 only 3.As of now there is no fair usage policy only with BSNL EV-DO.As a matter of fact there are no UL plans available with Reliance and Tata wireless cards. 4.Wired internet gives consistent speeds which the mobile internet lacks. The ping timings are really large on mobile internet. (And if you use your mobile connection mostly in your house depending on your location you might acquire a habit of changing the location of the card all the time for getting better speeds

| Senior Member & Mod | Apart speed and downloading uploading watching flix and pics on net. A user like mine, who loves the mobility of mobile bb will be fascinated by it. But i too think that companies should give UL schemes with fair usage policies. Right now as you told there are no UL schemes with any of the private players, so this is really bad with Indian market. In India companies sell Broadband internet as an attractive thing but technically broadband was never in Kbps. Shame Indian customers. We cannot even stand a day all together, that we wont pay your bills if you don pay for what you are telling us. Quote:
