Thread: Best mobile broadband for short visit to India

This is Prasad from NJ , USA.

I will be in my home town in goa during december and jan, i do not have any internet connection at home presently.

i accidentally landed on this forum and found your link.

Can you help me in the following 2 questions

1.For my home ,Which is the best internet package i can buy in the unlimited download braodband internet service, i would like to go in for something where the monthly charges are fixed adn the internet usage allowed is unlimited anytime of the day. I would be thankfull to you if you can advice me which provider and plan i should go in for.
Now this internet i would be using at home with a wireless router for my laptop and also my iphone.I do not need the highest speed as such but it should also not be the lowest.

2. Now when i willl be travelling in goa or other places in india like mumbai and delhi during my stay, i want to know if there is any kind off service provider which can give me like for a month a wifi connection which works with wifi spots, which i can connect to from my iphone or laptop without any card or connection depending on the wifi hot spot location proximity offfcourse.
This i would be using only for the months stay i would be having in India in delhi, pune, mumbai and goa primarily.

I would appreciate if you help me out with some advices.

How can i post this question in a forum so everyone can reply to it??

Select a WIFI 3 in 1modem for Rs 1600/+ taxes or on rental Rs 80 PM.
seems for higher speeds they have discontinued U/L usage.

2. Regarding wifi access "roaming" ""AIRTEL" will be the ideal choice.

You could also have a look at Bsnl EVDO (Bsnl evdo) as that would keep you connected while traveling as well.

Yes I think Reliance Netconnect Broadband plus will be the best choice as it is available every where (At some place with normal CDMA 1x) you can check this. This shows the list of places where wireless broadband is possible on this service. If you happen to visit places from the list this service will be the best.
