    Default Mobile broadband in India

There are thousands of people in many cities waiting for mobile broadband in India. It has almost been two years whereby customers are eagerly waiting for mobile broadband or 3G services in India in many cities. Though BSNL has launched mobile broadband services, it is available only in select cities. The number of internet users are increasingly at exponential rates in India. Many people are also going for data cards and for GPRS connection for mobile internet. Many more are eagerly waiting for 3G. There have been many problems in launching the mobile broadband services in all the cities of India. The required infrastructure is not in place yet in many of the cities. As a result, all the customers are disappointed with the speed at which things are moving in terms of launching mobile broadband services in India.

Today what we have in India is 2G connectivity and with this, there are lot of limitations. Though this gives basic internet connectivity to people who are on the move, the speed of internet connectivity is very low. This limits their mobile internet operations. It is not possible to download huge files or to watch videos online or listen to music online. All these are possible in many cities of India only with wired broadband connection. If mobile broadband has to be implemented, then users will be able to enjoy high speed internet connectivity in their mobile devices.

There are also many issues involved in auctioning the 3G spectrum. The auctioning date is constantly being postponed leaving the customers more and more frustrated. Even if the auctions have to go through successfully, we cannot expect mobile broadband services in all parts of the country immediately in the next week or next month. It will take several months before all the cities to get their mobile broadband services. Therefore, it is best for customers to stop waiting for this service and make use of the available 2G services. However, if you are planning to change your mobile phones, it is best to get a mobile phone with 3G capabilities so that you will not be forced to change your mobile phone again whenever mobile broadband services should come to your city.

BSNL is advertising extensively about its mobile broadband services though it is available only in limited cities. It is trying to offer its mobile broadband services at a very low price. The prices of mobile broadband services are supposed to be lower than our 2G connections that we have today.

Mobile broadband can open up a completely new experience to mobile internet users. It will bring unlimited options to customers in terms of what they can do with this advanced internet connectivity. Though it is frustrating, many people consider it worth waiting for the mobile broadband. So follow closely the proceedings of mobile broadband services in India so that you can prepare yourself for the high speed mobile broadband experience.

Agree. Wireless broadband especially based on 3G shall boost the segment & would open up a completely new experience. But the hell is 3G auction being delayed again & again.

Hi, I would like to have a usb modem with a decent speed. I want to have a connection which has no extra charges for roaming. As I'm planning to shift to Mumbai in two months. I want the modem to be useful there too. Suggest some good provider and plans.
    Thanks.
