Default 4 G Initiation Process starts in India

Telecomm regulatory Authority of India ( Trai) have started the process of introducing 4 G in India. I am not saying we are going to get it morrow. They have just started the consultation process, requirements for spectrum allocations and other issues related to 4 G.
3G have arrived quite late in India and even now private players are waiting for the auction. Also it is not 3 G but 3.5 G( which has come three years later in India) .
TRAI chairman had to say this on this issue:
3G have been delayed badly ... I don't want 4G or LTE to meet the same fate. Other countries are catching up with 4 G and thats why we are taking advance action.
For those not knowing what is 4 G. 4G is the standard set by ITU ( International Telecommunication Union) which specifies that a 4G system must give 100 mbps speed for mobile communication and 1gbps for stationary gbps. Its implication is quite far reaching as we can see that it will enable high definition movies transfer within minutes.
4 G is coming out before or near 2013 in US ( currently all organization shouting they giving 4G are giving pre 4 G which don't meet above specification).
History is on the move,my friends. Those who cannot keep up will be left behind, to watch from distance. And those who stand in its way will not watch at all.

    ^^ yeah i heard too...

but i think its a "process" and a commission will be laid upon it, watching it over and than subsequently we can see 4G in next two years to come....

i hope the service providers may still give good 2G services atleast.

The government of India is keeping India from developing at a good pace. If the government of India took even a slight interest in developing the infrastructure needed for broadband our country would have been talked about all over the workd and we would have gained about 1.5% extra GDP growth or may be more who knows.

Our problem is we have politicians from the bail gadi days who have their feet in their graves and still cling on to their chairs... we wont see any progress untill we set standards for politics... there should be a requirement of say a post graduation or even a PHD in their respective fields to be able to contest an election.

These low IQ criminals sitting on high chars are screwing our country for the last 60 years.

Think about it.... where was Japan 40 years ago? they were all hand to mouth but their government took interest in developing the nation and today they are the second largest economy in the world even with such a small population.

4G? I would be happy with 3.5g being launched in time and be made affordable this year...

I will not subscribe to the 3g crap at such extortionate prices. And only god know how much 4g services would cost if it goes the 3g way.

I agree with administrator.@ Mickey USA is going to get 4G fully in 2013. Two years is too short a time at least we are going to be 1 or 2 years behind i.e starting in 2013 and then infighting between various ministries and then auction and then probably some talk bout scam in spectrum allocation?

i personnaly dont coincide at thoughts at what the admin said.

i wish we have old days when there were great old leaders with old patriotic feeling.. its just not kneeling down yourself at front of America always...

But at the other time i see wicked old thoughts of politicians who dont know about anything except technology to recieve and do calls, the admin is right...

maybe he wants Rahul Gandhi as the PM but six people in my family dont vote him and we are seven.. (one is minor)
Site from home gaya bhad mein... AIrtel se bolo FUP band kare.. BSNl se bolo 3G signal do!!!!>: (

When I said young people I meant to say those people who are from the generation that studied computers at school and know how important ecommerce is for a nation's economy.... Those people who use smart phone and know how to use 3g and know the importance of such stuff for business people and for the common man.

It does not necessarily mean Rahul Gandhi.... I am not a fan of Congress in the first place and do not like the idea of this dynasty thing going on and on... bring some one new on...

On the other hand I never liked the idea of calling Bombay "Mumbai" and I still call it Bombay myself.... Uncle Thakrey? are you listening? come on send over some party workers to throw stones at my house Would love to be on front page of all news papers.... just like you do

    yeah you are right..
But the guys playing games, and calling different girl friends using a dual sim card holder may not practise even well..
India is poor nation, with drastic work conditions, 70% people are directly into farming, 10% class is working on the chair, rest 20% works on the technical stuffs like we do. so how can we built a strong technological based society without proper bread in every hands???

2 million people die every decade in this country of poor weather conditions, many people sleep without a half filled stomach, the country is facing regional clashes..

I think we have a "furious way left to cover before we actually work better for technical stuffs, "

almost everyday, we see a man pissing on the public walls,

and many of us come along...

forget about all the G's in technology, currently in India there are 4 major problems that needs to be addressed 1,electricity- god knows when we get 24X7 supply like other countries,2 water- we still get only 1/2 hour supply(if u r lucky enough) in countries like Canada u get it 24X7 and it is filtered 3,roads i don't know when we get proper roads to drive our precious vehicles, 4 sanitation- when rains occurs our roads become ponds and our well built roads get cracked easily with that.

in 60+ years of independence India cant improve the much needed things and we are talking about 3G-4G etc

it will take 200 years or more for India to get developed

Peoples can’t eat technology as they need 4 things first to make their life better then only technology comes later …

    • Food humans need food first not the technology.
    • Shatter they need homes first not the technology.
    • Cloths they need cloths to wear they can’t wear the technology.
    • They need first basic education so that they can use the technology can uneducated man if you given him a I-Phone then what it do blady when you don’t know hot to operate he throw it.

So first country need to be developed then think about the new inventions like your 3G or 4G command man don’t have any business with this kind of gadgets as they need to live their life first in a good society.

As per my comments I am not against the technology even I am also a Head IT of MNC but the only thing is govt have to take on priority based is to develop the country first I have seen many peoples who don’t get the enough food to eat and we are talking about our luxury….. Every human have to think about the current situation of the country then think about other developments…

    Hey BWA auction is going to start{Government ko kitna kosoge yaar}
    As it would lay foundation of wimax and TD LTE Which will enable 100mbps internet so get ready because auction is going to start 2morrow and best of all QUALCOMM leading semiconductor and chip firm is participating so we can hope that after 2 yrs we can hav "TRUE WIRELESS BROADBAND" and by the way a country needs a person who can solve citizen's problem it dowsn't need a techie who can solve prob. of just 7% od its citizen.{Broadband penetration is 7%}

Your understanding of the economy is no where near the reality... Firstly an uneducated man who doesnt know how to use an iphone will not buy it and no one will give it to him for free so he wont even be able to throw an iphone..

Technology? Food for people? Get real my friend ... Take for example a computer if the government had a blanket ban on importing computers and didn't allow internet services then there would have been no IT department in your company that you work for and you would have been unemployed.. The products and services you buy from the market out of the salary you get pays for salaries or profits for other people... So is a computer or internet connection helping feed the poor people? Yes it is.

Broadband penetration increase of 10% will increase the GDP growth rate by 1% and that is massive by any standards.. Think about a 20% increase in broadband penetration in India and the economy that is growing at 8% will start to grow at 10% per annum.. think about the compounded effect over the years.
Get out of your communist mindset. Stop voting for those parties who promise roti kapda aur makaan for every one... because these are the very people who are standing between progress and our country..

India needs free access to newer technologies and India needs it quick. I would love to see broadband penetration rise at a rate of more then 50% every year for atleast the next few years after which growth is bound to slow down.

Anything that generates employment or reduces cost of production is good for India and new technology does exactly that.
